Contacts, deployed with Miradore, are currently not displayed in the Samsung Contacts app on all devices.
According to the Samsung Knox Support team, there is a change in the newest version of ContactProvider. Due to the change, the Samsung Contacts app does not show the deployed contacts. This isn't a Miradore-specific issue, but it affects all providers of read-only contacts.
This issue was earlier classified as a bug, but according to the latest information from Samsung, it is an intended change of policy.
Which devices are affected?
The problem occurs on some Samsung Android 11 devices after installing the August software update. All Samsung devices running Android 11 are not affected. At the moment, we are not certain if this policy change affects only Android 11 or will it affect also other versions of Android.
We are working with Samsung to resolve the issue or find a workaround.
Currently, it seems that the contacts are showing correctly on those devices that haven't applied the August software update.
