Multi-app kiosk mode for Android and other improvements on 3rd of August, 2021

Created on August 3rd, 2021

Here’s a short summary of the new features and improvements released today.

Multi-app kiosk mode for Android

Until now, it has been possible to lockdown Android devices to a single app kiosk mode using Miradore. Sometimes, however, you might want to allow devices users to also access the device settings or some other preselected apps such as messaging apps. Now you can. The Android kiosk mode now lets you define one or more applications that the device users can access. For more details, read Android kiosk mode for multiple applications.

Active Directory connector improvements

We improved the Import users from the Active Directory wizard on the Company > Users page. It now allows you to filter AD imports using LDAP filters and you can also skip the importing of disabled users. For more details, read Importing users from Microsoft Active Directory.

Other improvements and resolved issues

  • S/MIME signing and encryption implemented in Mail for Exchange configuration for iOS.
  • Removal of blacklisted apps didn't always work properly in configuration profiles.
  • Updated outdated and broken knowledge base links on the user interface.
  • Miradore allowed users to attempt the iOS wallpaper configuration profile deployment to unsupervised devices, which is not supported.
