About QuickSteps

QuickSteps Dance Club Studio, based in Adelaide, is Australia’s largest dance studio for adults teaching salsa, tango, rumba, waltz, swing, cha cha and more. While aiming to “create happiness through dance,” they take pride in making the most of digital technology, both in running their studio and supporting their students.

The challenge

As QuickSteps grew, they realized their teachers should be kitted out with iPads and bespoke software to keep the studio running smoothly. With their new tools, the teachers could easily manage all their students whether on lesson, or back at home. However, this meant QuickSteps also needed a solution to manage these new iPads.

The solution

QuickSteps found Miradore to be easily the best of several options. According to co-founder Sebastien Ananian-Cooper, Miradore Online was “not only packed with features, but also simple, competitively priced and flexible.”

In fact, QuickSteps were so happy with their choice that they soon upgraded to the Miradore Online Enterprise Plan to get access to more features. The Enterprise Plan allows them to push updates of their Enterprise Apps to the teachers.

“We build Enterprise Apps with Apple and for the next several years there’ll be frequent updates as we add features and fix bugs. Having these apps on our iPads wouldn’t be possible without Miradore Online. You need to be able to set business policies and push app updates automatically. If it wasn’t for Miradore, giving iPads to all of our teachers would have presented us with more issues than we were trying to solve,” Ananian-Cooper explains.

Help is always at hand

To start with, the Enterprise Apps at Quicksteps are tested by developers based around the globe, Ananian-Cooper himself, and one beta tester. Once everything works smoothly, they will be rolled out to the whole team of 10 – automatically, of course. Happily, Miradore support has been at hand to help with any issues the testing team has faced – both via email and online chat.

“I have zero complaints with the customer service. As I’m often on the other side of the world, it’s great that I can get fast email replies. There’s no need to telephone when you get genuine emails from a techie, rather than someone just reading off a script.” 

Thanks to Enterprise Apps and Miradore, QuickSteps teachers will be able to offer iPad booking for lessons, monitor learning and attendance, and upload dance videos for students to view on their phones. Needless to say, Ananian-Cooper is feeling upbeat about the future.

“The great thing about Miradore is that if my needs change, I can always change to a different product plan – even back to the free plan. That’s what I mean when I talk about flexibility.”
