Miradore supports the management of devices running Windows 10 or 11, or a 64-bit version of Windows 7 / 8. The supported versions are Windows 7 SP1 and above and Windows 8.1 or newer. Miradore does not support pre-release or beta versions of Windows.
In a technical sense, Miradore supports two management methods for Windows devices.
- Management through Miradore Client software (also referred as to Light)
- Management through Miradore Client & MDM profile work account (also referred as to Full)
Windows 7 and 8 computers should be managed in the Light mode, because they don't support the MDM work account. This also means that some Miradore features are not available for Windows 7 & 8 computers. See the table below for details.

Enrollment instructions
You can find step-by-step instructions for enrolling Windows-based devices here:
- How to enroll Windows 10/11 devices
- How to enroll Windows-based into the Light mode of management (mainly for Windows 7 & 8)
Miradore Client is pushed to Windows 10/11 devices automatically
Miradore deploys a Miradore Client automatically to all Windows 10/11 devices after a successful MDM work profile enrollment. The client installation enables more extensive hardware inventory data collection and also adds support for patch management.
Please note that the automatic client deployment isn't supported for Windows 10/11 Home edition, but you can download the client installer from your Miradore site and run the installer manually on such devices.
Miradore Client for Windows doesn't support 32-bit versions of Windows, but you can manage devices with 32-bit Windows 10/11 using the MDM work profile.
Retry logic for the client installations
If Miradore client installation fails on a Windows device, Miradore will retry the client installation five times with an interval of three hours. If the installation fails five times Miradore stops retrying the client deployment.
Administrators can reset the retry counter from Miradore using the Actions > Retry client installation button that can be found on the Device page. After this, Miradore will re-try the client installation again five times.
Why Miradore Client installation fails?
There are several reasons which can cause the client installation to fail. You can try to investigate the reason from the Device's Action log which shows the reason in the tooltip.
