This article describes how you can enroll Windows devices into Miradore in the Light mode of management.
See also the article describing the Full enrollment of Windows 10-based devices. The differences between the Full and Light management modes are explained in the Windows management methods article.
When should I use Light enrollment?
You should use Light enrollment if you want to manage either Windows 7 or 8 devices with Miradore because Full enrollment isn't applicable to those Windows versions.
You can also use Light enrollment to install a Miradore Client to the Home editions of Windows 10 or Windows 11 devices. Usually, the Miradore Client is deployed to Windows 10 devices automatically during the Full enrollment (which is recommended enrollment method for Windows 10 devices), but the devices running the Home edition of Windows 10/11 don't support the automatic client deployment.
Supported operating systems
Miradore Client for Windows supports the following 64-bit operating systems:
- Windows 7 SP1 or newer
- Windows 8.1 or newer
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
Requirements
The user performing the enrollment needs to have administrator rights to the device.
Enrollment process step-by-step:
- Go to the Enrollment > Enroll device page on your Miradore Online site and choose Windows.
- Choose Light when you're asked to select the management type.
- Download the Miradore Client installer.
- Run the client installer on the device you want to enroll in Miradore.
If needed you can find the Miradore installer from your downloads folder. Similar to what is seen below (please note that Trestacom will be replaced by your company name).
