WPA3-Enterprise security mode for iOS and Mac Wi-Fi configuration profile
We have updated the Wi-Fi configuration profile for iOS and macOS with a new security mode: WPA3-Enterprise. Along with the new security mode, we have introduced the following new settings in the configuration profile wizard for applicable EAP types when using the WPA-Enterprise, WPA2-Enterprise, or WPA3-Enterprise security mode:
- Minimum amount of RAND values
- Use per-connection password
- System mode uses Open Directory credentials
- System mode credentials source
For detailed information on the WPA3-Enterprise security mode and the new EAP type-dependent settings, see Configure Wi-Fi settings for iOS devices and Configure Wi-Fi settings for macOS devices.
Unlocking a local Mac user account
We have added a new security action to the device page of Mac devices with which you can unlock local user accounts after the user exceeds the maximum number of sign-in attempts as specified in the password policy deployed to the device. For detailed instructions on unlocking a local Mac user account, see Unlock a local Mac user account.
