The new Miradore Windows Client version 1.5.0 was released today with a couple of improvements.
Improvements to the BitLocker configuration profile
Administrators can use the BitLocker configuration profile to manage drive encryption on Windows devices.
- Miradore now recognizes if a drive has been encrypted before the deployment of the BitLocker profile.
- If the drive is already protected with BitLocker, Miradore now ensures that the drive has a numerical recovery key set and stores the key in Miradore. The recovery key can be used to unlock the drive in case the user would forget his/her system password.
- Additionally, Miradore now considers the BitLocker deployment as successful although the drive would have been earlier encrypted using a different encryption algorithm than what is selected in the deployed configuration profile.
A new way to refresh Windows device’s inventory data
You can now use the Sync now -action for a quick update of the inventory data gathered from Windows devices. By default, Miradore syncs the data once per day.
Other updates
- Fixed an issue that caused, on some occasions, missing patch inventory data of the freshly installed Windows device.
