End of support for devices running iOS versions below iOS 13

Updated on June 25th, 2026

As of 24 June, 2026, we no longer provide support for devices running iOS versions below iOS 13.

The change does not affect currently enrolled devices and some functionalities remain operational on lower iOS versions. However, only devices running iOS 13/iPadOS 13 or later can be enrolled in Miradore.

Why are we raising the official minimum supported iOS version?

To keep Miradore up to date with the latest platform requirements and security standards, we are raising our official support for iOS devices from iOS 5 to iOS 13.

One of the main reasons for this change is Apple’s upcoming network security requirements. Starting with version 27.0 of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, Apple operating systems might refuse connections to servers with outdated or non-compliant TLS configurations due to additional network security requirements. This affects the Miradore client used for features such as location tracking and push notification messaging, and raises the minimum supported iOS version for the client to iOS 13.

We also feel that this is a good time to raise our official iOS support level more broadly. Focusing our official support on newer operating system versions allows us to provide a more reliable experience and align our development efforts with the platforms most commonly used by our customers.

For increased security and the best user experience, we always recommend using the latest operating system available.

Miradore client update (version 1.0.3)

As part of this change, we are releasing Miradore client version 1.0.3 for iOS devices. This is a maintenance release required for future platform compatibility — it does not introduce new features.

The update is delivered through the App Store and does not require any admin action. The timing depends on each device's settings:

  • If automatic app updates are enabled and the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the update typically installs within a few hours or overnight.
  • If automatic app updates are enabled and the device uses cellular data, it might wait to connect to a Wi-Fi network before installing the update within a few hours or overnight.
  • If automatic app updates are disabled, device users must update the Miradore client from the App Store manually.

Devices running iOS versions older than iOS 13 that already have the client installed will continue to work, but they will not receive this or future client updates.

What does this mean for devices running older iOS versions?

  • Nothing is being actively blocked at this time, and existing device management functionality may continue to work on older versions.
  • Devices running versions older than iOS 13 are no longer officially supported by Miradore, which means we cannot guarantee that all features will work as expected on those devices.
  • Miradore client version 1.0.3 cannot be installed on devices running versions older than iOS 13. Devices that already have an older version of the client installed will continue to work but will not receive future updates. This may impact features that depend on the iOS client, such as location tracking and push notification messaging.

We strongly recommend upgrading older devices to iOS 13 or newer whenever possible.

Which platforms are supported?

Miradore continues to support the following operating system platforms:

  • Android 7 and later
  • iOS 13 and later
  • iPadOS 13 and later
  • Mac OS X 10.7 and later
  • Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11
