Action log

Updated on May 29th, 2026

Miradore's Action log allows you to monitor all remote actions initiated from your site.

About the Action log

The Action log page, available under the Management category, lists all actions initiated from your Miradore site, along with useful information on targets, senders, status, and details that can help troubleshoot issues.

While the device pages' Action log tab and the Deployments tab of application pages offer similar information about related actions, the Management > Action log page aggregates all events across your Miradore site and its view can be filtered and customized to suit your needs.

The Action log allows you to view and manage all device-related events in one place.

Management > Action log page showing Retry, Cancel, and Archive buttons; Select columns open with column checkboxes; Refresh and Show archived actions enabled; and a table of actions with several Failed entries, including a tooltip reading ‘Installation failed with error ‘Installation failed even after multiple retries’’.
Action log features

Double-clicking the row of an entry or selecting the arrow in the last column of the table opens the device's page.

Retry, Cancel, Archive actions

The following actions are available if one or more event entries are selected by their checkboxes:

  • Retry: Retries the action.
  • Cancel: Cancels the action.
Note: Only actions that are currently Queued or In progress can be canceled. Additionally, the Wipe action of retired Fully managed Android devices and the Unenroll action of all devices cannot be canceled.
  • Archive: Archives the action to hide it from the Action log unless the Show archived items option is enabled.

Customizing the Action log table

The columns of the Action log table can be displayed or hidden using the Select columns drop-down menu. To show or hide a column, select the drop-down menu, check or uncheck the column name's box, then select Apply. The following columns are available:

  • Created: The date and time when the action was initiated.
  • Model: The device's model.
  • Marketing name: The device's marketing name.
  • Serial number: The device's serial number.
  • IMEI: The device's IMEI number.
  • MAC address: The device's MAC address.
  • Action type: The type of the initiated action, such as security, lifecycle, removal, or deployment.
Note: Enrollment actions are shown on the Enrollment > Enrollment log page and are not displayed in the Action log. See Enrollment log for detailed information on enrollment events.
  • Action details: The exact action that was initiated, such as unenrollment, wiping, configuration profile details, or application details.
  • User: The name of the user assigned to the device.
  • Sender: The originator of the action. This can be either an Administrator or a Business policy.
Note: All users who have permission to the Miradore site are considered Administrator regardless of their role.
  • Sent by: Details of the sender. This column displays the sender’s email address for manual actions. If the action was initiated automatically (such as managed Google Play account creation), System appears in the column instead.
  • Status: The status of the action. This can be one of the following:
    • Queued: The action is queued, but the device has not connected to the server yet. The action is set to be executed after the device syncs with Miradore.
    • Waiting: The device has queried the server for actions and these are being delivered to the device for processing.
    • Accepted by device: The action has been accepted by the device for processing.
    • In progress: The execution of the action is underway.
    • Completed: The action has been executed.
    • Canceled: The action has been canceled and will not be executed.
    • Failed: The action has failed.
Tip: Review the contents of the Status details column to investigate possible causes.
    • Archived: The action entry has been archived and will be hidden from the table unless the Show archived items option at the top of the table is enabled.
  • Status details: The detailed description of the status. This field holds essential information for all statuses, but is especially useful to see failure causes.

Tip: The Deployments tab of specific configuration profile, application, file and certificate, and business policy pages contains the same columns. Events related to the item are shown both on the Deployments tab and on the Management > Action log page.

The Refresh button allows you to manually refresh the entries in the table. The table does not refresh automatically.

Selecting the Show archived items option enables the listing of archived entries in the table.
