Renewing an Apple Automated Device Enrollment token

ADE token (previously Apple DEP token) is used to secure the communication between Apple Business or Apple School Manager and an MDM server, such as Miradore.

Each token is valid for one year.

You can check the validity period of your current token on the Infrastructure diagram page in Miradore. Hover your mouse cursor over the Apple Automated Device Enrollment icon and you will see when the token will expire.

How to renew your ADE token

1. Go to System > Infrastructure diagram page on your Miradore site.
2. Hover your mouse over the Apple Automated Device Enrollment icon and click the Renew button.
3. Log in to Apple Business or Apple School Manager with the same Apple Account that you used to generate your current token. Notice that the account must have either an Administrator or Device Enrollment Manager role.
   
   Note: The instructions that follow cover configuration in Apple Business only. Apple School Manager is not covered in these steps.
4. In Apple Business, select Devices in the top navigation bar, then select Management on the left sidebar.
5. Select the appropriate Device Management Services list, then select the three dots on the right.
6. Select Download Token.
7. Notice that downloading a new server token (.p7m file) will reset your existing token.
8. Upload the new token to Miradore using the green Upload server tokens button.
9. After you have uploaded the token, you will see a confirmation of successful renewal.
