View web apps in full screen mode using kiosk mode

Created on March 4th, 2026

Learn how to view web applications in full screen mode when a device is in kiosk mode.

You can display web applications in full screen mode using Miradore's kiosk mode configuration profiles and the Google Chrome app. This method also allows you to remove the address bar from Google Chrome, so your managed device only shows the selected website.

  1. Add the web app to Miradore.
Set the Display option to Full screen when you create the web app.
  2. Deploy Google Chrome on your managed device.
Tip: Consider blocking URLs that might be opened from the website that is deployed as the web app. While the device user will not be able to enter a URL in the Google Chrome app, they can still navigate away from the website using external links.
  3. Deploy the web app on your managed device.
  4. Update the Google Chrome application.
To do so, either update the app manually on the device or use Miradore's Application update policy configuration profile by configuring the setting as High priority. If Google Chrome is not updated, the address bar will be visible.
  5. Enable kiosk mode on your managed device by using one of the following configuration profiles and set the web app as the kiosk application:

Important: To prevent UI features from appearing on the screen, disable them in the configuration profile’s settings.

Results: The web application appears in full screen mode on the device. The address bar and, if configured in the kiosk mode configuration profile, other UI features are inaccessible.
