Changing applications on the home screen in the Home screen & kiosk mode configuration profile

Created on March 10th, 2025

The Home screen & kiosk mode configuration profile lets you set which applications are visible on the device's home screen. These applications can be changed in the configuration profile by editing it, then deploying it to the managed devices once more.

To change the apps that are available on the device's home screen with the Home screen & kiosk mode configuration profile, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Management > Configuration profiles.
  2. Find the Home screen & kiosk mode configuration profile that you want to update and double-click it to open it.
  3. Select Edit at the bottom of the page.
  4. In the Home screen settings table, add or remove apps from the Home apps field, then select Save at the bottom of the page.
Note: You can only add apps that are already available on the device to this list. See Application management and deployment for Android for more information on how to add applications to managed Android devices.
  5. Redeploy the configuration profile to the devices.
