Learn how to block outgoing calls to specific phone numbers on Samsung devices using the Knox Service Plugin application.
Requirements
The following requirements must be met:
- Managed Google Play must be configured for your Miradore site.
- The devices must be Samsung devices.
- The devices must support Knox.
- You must have a Knox Platform for Enterprise (KPE) license.

The image below shows the overall configuration of the Knox Service Plugin app in Miradore.

- Add Knox Service Plugin to your applications in Miradore as a managed Google Play app.
- Add a new managed configuration to the Knox Service Plugin application or select an existing one to modify.
- Add the Debug Mode setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- In the Add managed property to application wizard, select the checkbox to the right of the Value field.
- Select Add, then Close to exit the wizard.
- Add the Device-wide policies (Selectively applicable to Fully Manage Device (DO) or Work Profile-on company owned devices (WP-C) mode as noted) setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- Select Add in the Add managed property to application configuration wizard.
- Select Close to exit the wizard.
- Expand the Device-wide policies (Selectively applicable to Fully Manage Device (DO) or Work Profile-on company owned devices (WP-C) mode as noted) setting and add the Enable device policy controls setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- In the Add managed property to application wizard, select the checkbox to the right of the Value field.
- Select Add, then Close to exit the wizard.
- Expand the Device-wide policies (Selectively applicable to Fully Manage Device (DO) or Work Profile-on company owned devices (WP-C) mode as noted) setting and add the Call and Messaging control setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- Select Add in the Add managed property to application configuration wizard.
- Select Close to exit the wizard.
- Expand the Call and Messaging control setting and add the Call Controls setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- Select Add in the Add managed property to application configuration wizard.
- Select Close to exit the wizard.
- Expand the Call Controls setting and add the Blocklist Outgoing Call restriction setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- In the Value field, enter the phone numbers to which you want to allow outgoing calls.
Tip: The text field can be populated with a comma-separated list of values, where commas must be followed by a space and wildcards can also be used. We recommend using regular expressions for accurate results. For example, to block outgoing calls to the numbers +1 202 555 0101, +1 310 555 0199, and +1 718 555 0147, enter^(?:\+1|0)2025550101$, ^(?:\+1|0)3105550199$, ^(?:\+1|0)7185550147$in the Value field. For further examples on formatting the list, see the Samsung Knox Documentation. - Select Add, then Close to exit the wizard.
- In the Value field, enter the phone numbers to which you want to allow outgoing calls.
- Optional: To define a list of phone numbers that are exempted from the restriction even if they are included in the blocklist, expand the Call Controls setting and add the Blocklist Outgoing Call exception setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- In the Value field, enter the phone numbers to which you want to allow outgoing calls.

- In the Value field, enter the phone numbers to which you want to allow outgoing calls.
- Expand the Call and Messaging control setting and add the Enable call and messaging controls setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- In the Add managed property to application wizard, select the checkbox to the right of the Value field.
- Select Add, then Close to exit the wizard.
- Add the Profile name(version) setting to the configuration by selecting the
icon on the right.
- In the Add managed property to application wizard, enter a unique profile name that describes the configuration in the Value field.
- Select Add, then Close to exit the wizard.
- Deploy the application to your managed Samsung devices.
Results: Outgoing calls to the specified phone numbers are blocked.
