The New Partnership of Fujitsu and Miradore in France Builds on
the Successful Experiences of Existing Partnership in the Nordic Countries
Paris, France (Fujitsu IT Future 2011) 20 September, 2011 Miradore, an innovative enabler of automated IT management services, today announced a partnership with Fujitsu in France. Fujitsu will utilize Miradores automated remote management technology in their new POS management offering for the French retail industry branded as Fujitsu Remote Management System powered by Miradore.
This solution based on Miradores technology significantly improves the agility and efficiency of retail IT management by enabling remote access to in-store systems for installation, maintenance, software distribution and repairs. Multi-tenant capability enables the management of several customer environments on a single hardware platform.
The cloud-based Fujitsu Remote Management System powered by Miradore provides IT support staff with a single dashboard view and remote access to multiple end-user device platforms throughout organizations, including POS terminals, PCs, servers, printers, network equipment and smartphones. The solution independently gathers up-to-date asset and configuration data and provides device management tools for all lifecycle stages.

The highly automated solution eliminates a large share of manual IT management work. Miradore performs zero touch bare metal installations and operating system deployments, as well as distributes new applications or packages to end devices. The solution increases the transparency, security and control of IT management, resulting in significant efficiencies and savings.
With dynamic real-time asset management, changes and updates to devices are implemented directly from the management console, and automatically recorded to the configuration management database. Software updates can be scheduled and delivered to devices without the need to schedule a technician to visit the store. This enables the system to be brought back to operation state quicker and reduces disruption to trade.
In addition to facilitating IT management, the solution cuts electricity costs by providing tools to remotely shut down POS devices during non-trading periods such as overnight. As an example, automated and remotely monitored shutdown and start-up of 5,000 POS terminals for ten hours during every night brings up to 1,000 Euros of savings in electricity per day.
Miradore supports retail point-of-sale terminals, PCs and Servers running Windows®, Linux plus OS X for Mac based workstations as well as Android and Symbian 3 based mobile devices.
