Until now, we’ve hosted Miradore Online in a private data center in Finland. To enable scaling of our service for your future needs, we’re starting the process to make Microsoft Azure Germany the platform for our services where both Miradore Online and Miradore Management Suite will be hosted.
We want to keep providing the best possible user experience – not just with our acclaimed interface but also ensure high performance and service availability as we’re scaling up our operations. Partnering with Microsoft’s privacy focused German cloud is a simple and reliable way to make this happen.
The timeline and process
First of all, your devices will remain under management, their settings will be unaffected and there will be no need to re-enroll them.
Our target date for the move is to be in production on May 23rd and 24th. There will be a need for a maximum of a few minutes service break.
About data protection
Some of you will no doubt express concern about the location of your data. Rest assured the data will still reside in EU as before, and be protected under German legislation, where data privacy laws, much like Finland, are among the strictest in the world. As stated in the Azure Germany Overview Sheet, Microsoft personnel have access neither to the data nor physical access to the servers without supervision from the German data trustee.
Microsoft’s data trustee is T-Systems International, a German subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.
What do I have to do?
Nothing at all. The service you’re enjoying now will continue, and your devices will remain under management throughout. However, if you have any questions, comments or worries, don’t hesitate to be in touch with our customer service. More information is also available from Microsoft on the Azure Germany site.
