Almost every organization has the need to protect its data and endpoints from both unauthorized access and destruction. Miradore can be an important component in achieving this. Why not to defer software updates
With AI technology on the rise, the window between a software vulnerability and a working exploit has collapsed from days to a mere couple of hours. That’s why it is even more important to deploy software updates and patches promptly to ensure your devices are secure at all times.
How can Miradore help secure your Windows devices?
With Windows, it is crucial to use an operating system (OS) version that still receives current security updates. As of June 1, 2026, this is only Windows 11, unless you have made special agreements with Microsoft. In Miradore, you can directly check whether all Windows devices have been upgraded to Windows 11.
In addition, Miradore Patch Management supports the updating of operating system updates, including “H” updates, as well as the distribution of security patches.
If your Windows devices are not yet registered in Miradore, you can create a new instance free of charge to test this function. If you only want to check the patch status, you can do so in the free version.
If you are using an operating system version that qualifies for updates, the first requirement for a secure operating system is met. However, it is important that these updates are actually installed on the endpoints. Important reminder: Make sure that all endpoints are regularly powered on and registered in the MDM.
But Miradore does not only patch the Windows operating system; it also updates software from around 200 other vendors such as Adobe, Google, Sun Microsystems, and many more.

If updates are available for endpoints but have not yet been installed, this is also clearly displayed in a widget in Miradore.
Herein lies the challenge: if no update is available for the security vulnerability, the status will not change to Vulnerable/Critical. Once a solution for the problem is available but has not been installed, you will see it there.
In addition, it is important to use software that is covered by patch management or that includes its own reliable update service.

New security vulnerabilities in operating systems are discovered every day. Miradore can help you identify vulnerable devices early and close these security gaps efficiently.
Three factors are crucial:
- Complete management: All devices in use must be registered in the MDM.
- Connectivity: Endpoints should be online as continuously as possible to receive updates.
- Software vendor support: It must be ensured that the vendor provides appropriate updates for your software.
