The modern workforce thrives on mobility, but managing a fleet of smartphones, tablets, and laptops across various operating systems can be a juggling act. Over 10,000 companies trust Miradore to manage their devices smarter — helping them secure their devices and data, installing device configurations remotely, automating manual tasks, and more.
Here are some of the most impactful features within Miradore that are highly utilized by our customers.
Business Policies and Tags
Regardless of how the processes of an organization are structured, they should run efficiently. In Miradore’s system, “tags” are used to assign users and/or devices to a group. These groups (tags) can be assigned to corresponding configurations, apps, files, and certificates via Business Policies.
For example, if a new WiFi is set up, the existing configuration profile can be removed from the Business Policy. The admin can choose whether to remove it from the devices. A new configuration profile can then be added and automatically distributed to the defined groups.
Restrictions
Restrictions rank first among all commonly used configuration profiles. Whether for Android or iOS, there are hardly any organizations that don’t use it. Here is a short list of the most commonly used functions:
iOS and Android:
-

- Deny Account Modification (prevents logging into the App/Play Store and thus prevents the installation of apps)

Wallpapers (backgrounds)
Employees are always happy to receive a smartphone or tablet with a beautiful background image (Android and iOS) that adheres to the Corporate Identity (CI).
Wi-Fi profiles
Faster access to resources and reduced mobile data consumption save time, reduce frustration and the cost of mobile data plans. (iOS, Android, Android (Enterprise Wi-Fi)).
Kiosk mode
There are use cases in which only certain applications should be made available to device users. Android supports Single and Multi App Kiosk. iOS only supports a Single App Kiosk mode.
Android shortcuts / iOS Web Clips
Easily access web-based applications directly from the home screen by tapping the shortcut (Android/iOS). Attention: Not all Android manufacturers support shortcuts to websites.
Distribution of contacts for Android directly / for iOS indirectly
Miradore can distribute a contact list directly to Android devices.
This doesn't mean you have to do it manually on iOS. You can use our Advanced Config to connect to a CardDav server or use an app to distribute contacts to your iOS devices using Miradore.
All of these features are used on over 100,000 devices, making it easier for our clients to efficiently manage their device fleet. For more information about these features please visit our knowledge base.
