Are you a contented user of Miradore Online Free? Great – we want to bring Mobile Device Management within every company’s reach regardless of size or IT budget. However, if it’s the latter that’s keeping you from upgrading to one of our paid plans – Miradore Online Business Plan or Enterprise Plan – you might be in for a surprise.
We’re pretty certain that, at just $2 per device (which is, in business mobility guru Jason Bayton’s words, “a good deal cheaper than the competition”), even the more expensive Enterprise Plan will pay itself back manifold in no time, saving you and your IT department both money and time. But don’t take our word for it. Instead, listen to Bayton, who says anyone who “[splashes out on a higher tier] will not be disappointed.” Read on to see why.
Amazing additions for admins
If you use Miradore Online Free with many admins, you’ll be sharing the same login for everyone. With the paid plans, however, each admin gets their own login details, so you have a log of who’s done what. “As a company grows and device management becomes increasingly critical, having a breadcrumb trail to know who did what and when becomes very useful indeed,” Bayton says.
What’s more, with the Enterprise Plan, you’ll also enjoy role-based administration, meaning admins can be given different privileges based on their position and responsibilities. Bayton explains the benefits of this perfectly: “It means safely assigning Jill in HR the ability to keep an eye on her team’s mobile devices while preventing access to devices outside of her team. Similarly Ben, the new IT intern, can have full visibility of the entire solution while he shadows his colleagues without the risk of him changing critical configurations or system settings.”
Reports to go and notifications to keep you in the know
Miradore Online Free brings you great online reporting of your devices’ status, but once you subscribe to the Business Plan, you’ll able to export those reports and use them offline. With the Enterprise Plan, things get even more exciting. Your company’s own reporting apps can make API calls to fetch data from Miradore Online – without you having to even tap a finger.
Both paid plans help you stay on top of things by instantly notifying you via email about anything from rooted devices to newly added or removed devices (which, like Bayton puts it, “comes in handy with self-service enrolment for employees.”) With all this information at hand, you’ll not only prevent any problems in time, but also provide unbelievably efficient support for your users.
Location, location, location
Location tracking is a much-debated feature of MDM, but it works wonders to reduce device loss, ensure field workers’ safety in remote locations, and make logistics operations tons more efficient – just to name a few of the many benefits!
You’ll get location tracking for both Android and iOS devices as soon as you upgrade to the Business Plan. Not only that, but as Bayton points out, we at Miradore use “an approach different to other EMM providers; instead of turning it on or off globally, Miradore treats it as a configuration profile that can be assigned and pushed out to individual devices or groups. This makes managing the feature simpler and the legal/ethical issues less prevalent.”
Apps managed as if by magic
While under Miradore Free, you’ll have inventory data to show which apps have been installed to your devices, Miradore Enterprise Plan really takes things to the next level.
You can remotely black and white list apps, as well as push out and uninstall unwanted App Store and Google Play store apps, and your company’s own in-house apps. “Even better, for supervised iOS and Samsung KNOX-enabled devices this can be done silently without end-user involvement,” Bayton adds in his review. Not only does this put an end to time consuming hands-on installation, but it also makes your users more productive and your devices less vulnerable.
Playing tag with business policies
Another Enterprise Plan feature that Bayton highlighted – needless to say, it’s one of our favorites, too – is business policy enforcement. With different policies attached to different tags and the possibility to tag devices even before they’re enrolled, the right policies can be pushed to devices automatically, the very moment enrolment is complete.
“This feature has the potential to save administrators an awful lot of time in comparison to the free subscription where policies have to be pushed out manually,” says Bayton, and we at Miradore wholeheartedly agree.
To sum it all up, Bayton states that our “free subscription makes for an excellent starting point, but as a business grows and administration becomes more hands-on, considering an upgrade is well worth it. […] What’s more, as new features are added, having a subscription means getting the newest, best features as soon as they become available.” How’s that for a recommendation?
